Lehariya Indigo Dress
Your go-to dress for when you don't have time but need to look awesome. The asymentric hemline and bold lehariya pattern in rich indigo tones make an unusual and unforgettable combination
The classic lehariya pattern on this product is a traditional Indian form of tie-dye initially used for making turbans in Rajasthan (Western India). Today many of the more complicated 'lehariya' patterns are irrevicably lost as only a handful of skilled artisans remain. The craft has been extensively copied on low-cost screen printed fabrics leading to a complete erosion of its value. The base fabric is handloom Maheshwari. Tailored by women from a Self Help Group in Mumbai. Your purchase contributes to the livelihood of 4 artisans.
